The Springdale Planning Commission voted unanimously (9-0) to approve conditional use of the property located at 406 E. Emma Avenue to allow Ozark Electric Cooperative to erect a 66 foot communication tower.The tower is not necessary for emergency communications but is planned to serve as a backup or duplicate of an existing dispatch center.
It's now in the hands of the city council who will vote on Tuesday, March 23.
